Ben Sheets & NY Mets, No Thanks!
The NY Mets know that they could use a quality starting pitcher to lock down their rotation. Ben Sheets and the NY Mets are somewhat a logical fit. But the rumor that the Mets could sign Ben Sheets is just that, a rumor.

Mets' Citi Field looks big...
The Mets have hit less home runs this year, due in part to the cavernous outfield at Citi Field.
That being said, the new stadium looks great. The Mets' have never really had the "legendary" stadium like Fenway or Wrigley, so they went out and stole the design from Ebbets field. I'm ok with that, as the stadium was originally NY, and the modern amenities and tribute to players past makes it eclectically New York.

Livan Hernandez Eats Innings
Livan Hernandez eats innings
Livan Hernandez, Orlando "el Duque" Hernandez's brother, has been known to pitch a lot of innings in a season. In fact, Livan Hernandez has averaged around 190 innings pitched the past three seasons.
Who knows how old El Duque is. I certainly don't, but I can guess. My estimation is the Orlando Hernandez is 37 years old. That would make Livan Hernandez 43 years young minimum.

Jose Reyes Batting 3rd
The New York Mets' Jerry Manuel is really giving the a jolt of innovation by spreading this Mets rumor. His latest idea is to move the fastest guy on the team, Jose Reyes, to the three hole in the lineup. Now, Mets Junkie's are all about supporting the development of their young stars, but would moving Jose Reyes to the third spot in the lineup hurt is overall value to the team?
Mets' Manuel wants Manny Ramirez
NY Mets' manager Jerry Manuel recently announced that he would love the chance to coach the Mets with Manny Ramirez in left. Hopefully the plug will extend up to the front office where Omar Minaya is still contemplating his options.

Freddy Garcia, the Mets latest
The New York Mets are trying to sew up their rotation and have added Freddy Garcia to the mix. Freddy Garcia is not going to be the answer the Mets need, and he is certainly no Derek Lowe. The main reason the Mets pulled the trigger on Garcia was the fact that he consistently gives teams over 200 innings a season.

Mets & Garret Anderson; Part - time lovers
The search for a bat to protect Delgado in the lineup has not been a feverish one. The Mets platooned the spot last year, letting a couple guys (Moises Alou, Endy Chavez, etc.) split time in left field. This year the Mets are snooping around a Mr Garret Anderson to pitch in for that spot.

Mets Patch is a Success
The Mets commemorative patch signaling a new beginning to the same old way of losing is getting a lot of hype. In fact, it even is getting press from the front page of Yahoo!.
New Patch Fixes Mets' Problems
The Mets announced recently that they will be sporting a new patch on their right sleeve's to commemorate their innagural season at Citi Field. Having personally worked in the graphic/web design field for many years, I am not surprised at this patch. In fact, I would say it's just about up to par considering the direction that some design firms have taken very expensive clients recently.
