Carlos BumTran decided that it was time to get surgery. What an idiot! Does the damn guy own a calendar? Instead of going under the knife the week after the NY Mets season ended - about May of 2009 - Carlos Beltran decides to wait for half of the off-season to pass before calling his doctor.

Now we're going to have one of our best players out for a month at the start of the season. GREAT way to kick off a new 2010 NY Mets season.

I'm so sick of the players on the team who have no dedication or inclination to make the Mets the best team in baseball. Can we get a little passion? Do any of these meat-heads realize that they are playing a game for millions of dollars a year? That they are the privileged few who get to play a game for a living?

Let's hope Bumtran's attitude doesn't rub off on the rest of the guys. We don't need another season full of half-assing it on the field.
