The Mets have made some decent progress in sewing up their bull pen. Adding K-Rod and JJ Putz to the bullpen should solidify an additional 8-10 wins per season. What would really push them over the top is the acquisition of a power hitting, dugout leading, loose character that hits the bejeezus out of the ball.

Manny Ramirez is on the Mets wish list. Man Ram recently threatened retirement if he didn't get an offer to his liking. While one may think this is just a fly off the cuff kind of comment, I wouldn't put it past this dynamic right handed power hitter. The NY Mets though, would be in a much brighter position to head to the post season with his instantaneous jolt of offensive power. The Mets want Manny, and dare I say Manny could be eying the Mets?

Pedro and Manny could be reunited. The Red Sox tandem was locker room gold, and the loose fitting personality helped foster a comfortable environment to develop young talent. Think of the adverse effect a loose locker room would have for Jose Reyes and David Wright. Manny's influence would be valuable to the development of these stars.

In addition, it would be a little Latino American club party. With all the players already speaking spanish, David Wright learning spanish, Manny Ramirez would fit in as a Met very fluidly.
