Lets trade Carlos Delgado

I think the mets should move Delgado before his trade value compeltely disappears. He's lost a step (if he ever had one) he's not hitting like he used to, and he's becoming an injury liability to boot. The Mets owe him $20 million for the upcoming year, and wouldn't that money be better spent on CWS first baseman Paul Konerko?

Delgado had a fluke year

Despite his monster seasons with Florida and Toronto, Delgado has had less then stellar years with the Mets. That being said, I think he's taken his sweet time to adjust to NY. Lets face it, he tore it up in the NL east when he was a Marlin, and we don't need him to be even that good.

The one kicker I admit is his salary. I have a feeling we could find a cheaper player with similar production value...
