Mets Rumor: Relief for Roy Halladay

The sad thing is the Mets aren't going to get Roy Halladay for John Maine and Carlos Delgado. However, the rumor is that Mets actually do have something the Blue Jays may be interested in.

Currently the Blue Jays are dead last in the American League with only 15 saves on the season. Their 58% save conversion percentage is good for third worst in the AL. The rumor is that they are interested in acquiring, preferably young and talented bullpen help.

Freddy Garcia, the Mets latest

The New York Mets are trying to sew up their rotation and have added Freddy Garcia to the mix. Freddy Garcia is not going to be the answer the Mets need, and he is certainly no Derek Lowe. Mets eye Lowe, Wolf

The NY Mets have sewed up their bullpen for the time being. The focus now comes to their starting rotation. The staples are set, and the Mets have their rotation closing in on being locked up.

The real key will be the starter the Mets acquire in the off-season. Oliver Perez appears to think he's worth more than he is. This attitude is having an adverse effect however, and the NY Mets executives aren't biting. Instead the Mets exec's are hoping to lock up a reliable 2nd or 3rd guy in the rotation to take Perez's place.
