Mets Rumor: Mets pitching for Roy Halladay
Its no secret the Mets suck right now, but rumors of the Mets trading for Roy Halladay are starting to surface.
Roy Halladay has been one of, if not the most dominating pitcher for the last 3 seasons. Averaging 230+ innings, Halladay is also a great asset to Toronto's bullpen. Roy Halladay has led the majors in complete games four times, and finished second twice.
The Mets picked up Livan Hernandez to eat innings, but injuries and lack of talent haven't exactly panned out for the Mets starter.
The ideal situation would be to get Halladay as the second ace to follow Johan Santana in the starting rotation.
To get a guy like Halladay however, the Mets are going to have to give up some talented youngsters. Mets rumors have it that the Mets are thinking of offering a package including Mike Pelfrey, Fernando Martinez and cash in exchange for Roy Halladay.
This Mets rumor has been swirling and gaining traction, and we here at MetsJunkie would love to see a team actually built on pitching.
