With The rumor of Mets VP of Player Development Tony Bernazard starting a fight with his players in the clubhouse of a recent Binghamton AA game one must wonder how bad is it really?

As the Mets continue to plummet and create even better punch lines then they have in the past couple of years answers and attempts at rescue seem further off then a Bernie Madoff Presidential Pardon.

While a few rumors, or should I call them ‘pipe dreams,’ have surfaced as an attempt to keep Mets fans in seats there have been no real attempts and no ‘Buster Onley exclusive reports’ talking about a savior.

So the cross country trip to see the new Citi Field in a brisk fall night game with lots of meaning, that this penmen had planned in early ’09, will probably be shelved until the Mets can put a valuable product on the field.

But I hear that new Yankee Stadium is pretty nice…
