Mets stay as hot as the weather

The NY Mets take a night off on Sunday to gear up for their battle with the fish. R.A. Dickey takes the hill in an attempt to become the first Mets pitcher to start their tenure with the team 7-0.

7 starts, 7 wins? That's refreshing. Not exactly like that crazy Mexican, Oliver Perez.

Spring Training Comments

My fan level is obviously kind of low, seeing how there is not much to be excited about, BUT the pre season optimism has run through me of late to think of the lineup in everybody's prime…jose, louis, DW5, Belt (back on the juice) Francouer, Bay (back on the juice) and some random catcher…its not that bad.

Now obviously we are far removed from these players prime’s except DW5 but still on paper not too bad. And lets just say we get a season out of Maine AND Pelfrey BOTH this year…now your talking!!!!

Call me Bum-Tran

Carlos BumTran decided that it was time to get surgery. What an idiot! Does the damn guy own a calendar? Instead of going under the knife the week after the NY Mets season ended - about May of 2009 - Carlos Beltran decides to wait for half of the off-season to pass before calling his doctor.

Now we're going to have one of our best players out for a month at the start of the season. GREAT way to kick off a new 2010 NY Mets season.

No Roids for Bernazard

Tony Bernazard, the NY Mets VP of player development, decided to take in a Double A game in Binghamton recently. Presumably, the Double A Mets played like the MLB Mets. In other words, the Binghamton Mets sucked, threw batting practice for the opposing team, dogged it in the field, and forgot how to get on base. This prompted Bernazard, like many other Mets fans, to get a little frustrated with the team.

Every Mets fan has felt this way, but Bernazard actually did something about his frustration with the team.
